**Your new role**
Thriving in an autonomous working environment, the Account Executive is a Business Developer and creator of strategic value, possessing business acumen and some knowledge of the ICT sector. You have the skill to hold a peer-to-peer conversation with leaders and executives and you also liaise and partner with Sales Support and Technical Staff to aid in the sale process.
Most importantly, you translate technology solutions into defined business outcomes.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Accountable for driving and achieving incremental revenue performance within the defined customer base and territory.
- Identify additional value creating revenue streams within the defined customer base.
- Develop and maintain a strong qualified pipeline of incremental opportunities.
- Develop and implement effective sales plans and strategies to meet the customer's needs.
- Actively participate in the ICT sector and regularly engage with key industry stakeholders.
- Maintain an up-to-date industry knowledge base by staying ahead of product/technology developments and transfer this knowledge to your clients (vendors, market segments, trends, etc).
- Manage key internal stakeholder relationships with ease.
- Develop new customers and maintain existing customers through effective planning, visits, communication, customer service and relationship building.
- Liaise and partner with technical support staff when necessary to provide assistance in the sales process.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- A minimum of 5 years' experience within the ICT sector, with 5+ years sales/business development experience
- Tertiary qualification in a related field
- ICT background/knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
