Chef/Cook ~ Echuca
Workers are searching for our newest team member to join the kitchen team. It's a 38-hour week paid weekly plus any reasonable overtime.
Our ideal newest team member must have:
* 2-3 years experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
* Completed Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (and/or higher)
The role's responsibilities include:
* Cooking and serving food according to the Club's quality and service standards
* Training kitchen staff as directed by the chef in charge
* Receiving and storing food supplies
* Maintaining safety and cleanliness of all kitchen and storage areas
* Ensuring high performance levels among kitchen staff
* Creating a harmonious team environment
* Preparing and cooking high-quality food following menu guidelines and recipes
* Supervising kitchen team members when applicable
* Facilitating communication between floor and kitchen staff
* Receiving, accounting for, and storing supplies and deliveries
* Assisting with stock takes
* Training staff, including apprentices and trainees
* Following hygienic food handling practices
* Adhering to cleaning and waste disposal protocols
* Supporting safe work practices among staff
* Maintaining kitchen equipment in good condition
* Possibly managing ordering and stock control
* Assisting other chefs in food preparation and cooking tasks
