Job Description About the opportunity We're looking for a sharp Data Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. You'll turn financial and operational data into key insights, directly impacting strategic decisions. If you're passionate about data and finance, this is for you! What You'll Do: Data Automation & Integration: Utilise Alteryx to build, maintain, and automate data workflows, ensuring data quality and integrity from various sources (ERP, CRM, etc.). Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual processes and improve the efficiency of the FP&A function. Financial Reporting & Visualisation: Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to track business performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods. Database Management: Query and extract large datasets from SQL databases and other data sources, ensuring data is accurate and fit for purpose. Data Modelling & Forecasting: Assist in the development and enhancement of financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. Use historical data and statistical methods to predict future financial trends. Ad-Hoc Analysis: Perform deep-dive and ad-hoc financial analysis on a wide range of business topics to support strategic initiatives and answer key business questions. Collaboration: Collaborate with FP&A, wider finance team and business unit leaders (e.g., Sales, Operations) to understand their data needs and provide insights. Desired Skills and Experience What You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. 3 - 5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role. Proficiency in Excel and SQL. Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense). Demonstrated experience building and automating data workflows using Alteryx or a similar tool. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. A meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Experience within an FP&A team or a strong understanding of corporate finance principles (budgeting, forecasting, financial statements) is highly desirable.
