The Department of Health is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Support Officer to contribute to the successful delivery of a major workforce reform initiative focused on modernising rostering practices across the Agency.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting a high-profile program that aims to improve how we support our frontline teams. The Rostering Reform Program focuses on:

* Standardising and harmonising rostering processes across the Agency

* Adopting digital solutions to streamline rostering and prepare for future HRIS implementation

About the Role
As a Project Support Officer, you’ll be responsible for coordinating key project activities, supporting project planning and delivery, and contributing to effective stakeholder engagement. You’ll work closely with a dynamic team to ensure project milestones are met and that the program delivers real, sustainable improvements.

In this role, you will:

* Provide admin and coordination support across project teams, working groups, and key stakeholders

* Assist in delivering key project documentation to support the Rostering Program objectives

* Draft high-quality correspondence, reports, and submissions with confidence

* Create clear, user-friendly policies, work instructions, and training materials to support successful rostering implementation

This is more than just a project. It is a significant change journey for the Department, and we are in search of someone with a love for coordinating projects. You’ll be working closely with a committed team to support the change towards contemporary rostering practices including rostering system uplifts, rostering practices, and driving sustainable change to help our workforce feel confident and ready for what is ahead.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP for a period of 12 months.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $98,255 to $103,069 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

* Previous experience developing and delivering training activities in a change management environment

* Qualifications and/or accreditation in an appropriate course of study from a recognised institution

* Current Driver’s Licence
