Swinburne University of Technology is seeking an outstanding Professor of Nursing to join our growing Department of Nursing at a pivotal moment in its evolution. The department is entering an exciting phase of expansion, including growth in postgraduate education, the introduction of new and innovative courses, and a strong, positive recruitment agenda to build a diverse and future-focused academic community.
Working with David Edvardsson, Department Chair and the nursing team you will play a key leadership role in shaping the evolution of nursing at Swinburne and its partners. You will champion high-impact, person-centred nursing research, contribute to the design and delivery of contemporary undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and mentor colleagues to strengthen research and teaching capability across the discipline.

About You
* A high degree of organisational and administrative skills and capacity to lead and support a team of academics in management of courses and program delivery.
* Demonstrated excellence in and commitment to innovative education, including interprofessional learning, blended learning formats, online teaching, the use of a variety of visual and digital/innovative formats.
* Demonstrated capacity to lead and support discipline research and lead research teams and partnerships to achieve high impact research activity and outcomes.
* Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching including a record of co-ordination, teaching and curriculum development.
* A track record of successful supervision of higher research degree candidates.
* Demonstrated leadership experience in nursing or health care.
* Demonstrated high standard of interpersonal and communication skills including resourcefulness, initiative, and the ability to meet tight deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
* Demonstrated links with relevant industries, organisations and research communities.
Qualifications
* Doctoral qualification appropriate to the discipline
* AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, or eligibility to register
