A unique leadership opportunity exists for a postgraduate-qualified Nurse Unit Manager to lead a 25-bed Coronary Care/High Dependency Ward at the private hospital in Hobart.
This full-time, permanent role is pivotal in defining exceptional patient care for acute cardiac and surgical patients and fostering rewarding nursing careers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the ward to complement the strategic direction, operational processes, budget and business direction of the hospital.
You will provide operational direction for the ward to ensure efficient and effective management of the area and coordinate the delivery of evidence-based nursing care.
In addition, you will be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources and ensure customer service is maintained at optimal levels.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA;
- Specialised nursing experience in cardiology/critical care;
- Post Graduate Certificate or working towards in cardiology/critical care;
- Previous NUM experience or equivalent;
- Working with Vulnerable People check;
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.

REMUNERATION
$72.59 per hour.
ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Hobart, is a fully accredited facility with 146 beds providing a unique range of acute services, including general surgery, specialty care in orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, breast, colorectal, oral, vascular, plastics, obesity surgery, and select surgery for paediatrics.
The facility has a Critical Care Unit with 10 beds and a step-down unit with 15 beds.
