Located in the heart of the Shoalhaven, Sikorsky Australia are seeking a self-motivated, team player to join our aircraft Maintenance team.

Your responsibilities will include:

We are currently seeking a Level 1 Component Specialist to support general services, repairs, and overhauls of components to ensure that they are in good mechanical condition and safe for installation.

Your responsibilities include:

* Conduct periodic inspections and general maintenance, repairs, modifications and replacement and assembly of parts.
* Consult manufacturers' manuals for specifications and determines feasibility of repair or replacement.
* Perform assigned component maintenance tasks in accordance with all applicable regulatory authority requirements (DASA, DCMA), Approved Maintenance Data, and company standards and requirements.
* Maintenance tasks may include, but are not limited to, scheduled and unscheduled inspections, servicing, repairs, maintenance, removal/ installations, modifications and STIs on applicable aircraft systems, components, role equipment or ground support equipment.
* Ensure all documentation relating to work performed are signed and, where company approved, certified in a timely manner as required by company procedure.
* Detect and identify defects and assist in drafting appropriate report.

Essential:

* Tertiary qualifications (Certificate II or above) in a relevant discipline (Aeroskills, Mechanical, Engineering, Automotive etc.) from a recognised institution
* Basic knowledge and understanding of the requirements of at least one of the following regulatory frameworks: DASA, DCMA.
* Computer literacy with an ability to analyse and interpret reports

Special Requirements:

Applicants are required to be able to obtain and maintain Australian Defence Force security clearance.
