About the Role As Venue Manager & Housekeeper, you’ll be responsible for the smooth operation, presentation, and guest experience across four boutique accommodation sites and a private waterfront sauna. Core responsibilities include: Overseeing property operations and grounds maintenance Ensuring immaculate housekeeping and presentation (approx. 9 turnovers per week / ~20 hrs cleaning) Delivering high-quality guest service and communication Managing a private sauna offering and coordinating bookings Handling administration and operational reporting Providing warm leadership and clear communication Day-to-Day Responsibilities Revenue & Booking Coordination Reviewing and adjusting pricing via PriceLabs Managing availability through Guesty Coordinating bookings, guest communication and occupancy flow Organising guest vouchers and pre-arrival details Team Support & Leadership Creating weekly rosters based on occupancy Supporting, training and guiding a small housekeeping team Managing availability, coverage and last-minute turnovers Upholding high cleaning and presentation standards Stepping into housekeeping when required Property & Grounds Care Window cleaning, outdoor furniture upkeep and minor repairs Weekly wood chopping and ash management for hot tubs and sauna Running weekly and monthly site checks: seals, fixtures, alarms, filters, doors, linen quality Conducting storm and safety inspections Supplies, Deliveries & Logistics Coordinating water, wood and linen deliveries Monitoring and restocking consumables and guest supplies Weekly supply runs to Coles Bay or Bicheno Monthly restocks in Bicheno or Swansea (fuel, cleaning supplies, consumables) Picking up deliveries from the post office Refilling gas bottles and purchasing fuel for equipment Use of personal vehicle for local travel (km reimbursement negotiable) Marketing & Social Presence Creating simple weekly social content (1 reel stories) Engaging with local businesses for cross-promotion Assisting in the development of new offerings and experiences Guest Experience & Local Partnerships Curating personalised itineraries Coordinating local services (massage, yoga, catering, guided activities) Building and maintaining relationships with local operators ✨ Who We’re Looking For Someone who is: Warm, organised and guest-focused Comfortable working independently and making decisions Hands-on with an eye for detail (cleaning minor maintenance) Calm, adaptable and solutions-oriented Connected to nature, wellness or slow-living hospitality values Proud to uphold 5-star standards Experience in hospitality or property management is ideal, though the right attitude and care are just as important.
