About the Role
We are seeking qualified Communications Technicians to join our QLD team on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidates will work as an integral part in successfully delivering and maintaining telecommunications networks and solutions for our customers in the QLD coalfields, Rail and Defence Force sectors.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Ensure safe, reliable and effective installation, operation and maintenance of radio networks
* Participate in the design, installation, maintenance and repair of electronics and communication equipment
* Assist with commissioning and start-up of new installations
* Liaise with vendors, suppliers, Radlink engineers and site-based resources as required
* Test, and repair equipment to specified requirements
* Work with engineering and projects teams to develop technical solutions for clients
About you
Brisbane or Mackay based preferred, however, consideration for some roles will be given to candidates in regional areas
SCADA and/or Instrumentation Techs are encouraged to apply
Must have a current C-Class Drivers' License as a minimum
2-5 years' experience on RF and Electronic Systems
Experience in the following field would be desirable:
* P25
* Tetra
* DMR
* LTE
* Microwave, Point to Point / Point to Multi Point
Ability to assist in the maintenance installation and commissioning of telecommunications systems
Construction White Card
Mine site experience (preferred but not essential)
Sound judgement to make appropriate decisions with limited direction
Ability and drive to learn new skills and pick up on technical concepts quickly
Adaptable and agile to meet project and customer priorities
Availability to travel
Multiple roles are required to fulfill FIFO/DIDO rosters (typically 7/7 or 8/6).
