Duties include but are not limited to –Drive a strong safety culture including completing audits and inspections, workplace observations, permits, incident management, pre starts and toolboxesConduct walkouts, planning, scoping and activities to ensure site works can be constructed efficiently and in accordance with the construction plans and delivery scheduleLead and manage a team of subcontractors including briefs, scope of work, escalating issues and that works are completed compliant to contractual agreementsEnsure artefacts for achieving Practical Completion of construction are completed and submitted on time and any deficiencies/defects are rectified in a timely mannerLiaise with Site Engineers to ensure materials and equipment are readily available ahead of constructionUnderstand community and stakeholder requirements from the FSA Management and actively manage these requirements on site during constructionFoster a team culture of ownership, provide development opportunities, training and address performance issuesRequired Skills and ExperiencePrevious experience in a similar role with NBN/Telstra experienceTrade qualification or qualification in related fieldSound computer skillsGood communication, time management and problem-solving skillsEnd to end project / works delivery experienceAbout VentiaVentia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
