As a Kitchen Hand at Gosford RSL Club, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations of The Gardens Eatery. This casual position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of our kitchen while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas, including dishes, utensils, and work surfaces
Emptying garbage bins and dispose of waste in a safe and responsible manner
Operating dishwashing equipment efficiently
Maintaining kitchen equipment which involves changing oils and cleaning
Adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
Working collaboratively with kitchen staff to meet service requirements
On occasion assisting the Chefs with basic food preparation
Following instructions and perform other duties as assigned by Senior Kitchen Staff
Skills and Experiences:
About you:
Shifts will be varying - you may be starting at 8am and working a day shift, you may be working a mid-shift start at 10am through to 6pm or you might be on night shift starting around 3pm and working through to 11pm/12am - Reliable transport is a must
Shifts will vary across 7 days of the week and across the various times noted above - We may be looking for a unicorn, but we are in need of someone with awesome availability and flexibility
Attention to detail and a strong passion for maintaining a hygienic environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure kitchen setting
Ability to take direction from Senior Kitchen members
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Ability to perform physical work with bending, lifting, pushing and pulling a requirement of this role
