Our client is a “top tier” developer, based in Sydney, which boasts an enviable track record of delivering major real estate projects across the APAC region. They hold a clear strategy of development focused growth within the logistics and office sector and hold a national footprint and significant pipeline. They are one of the largest owners of real estate in the APAC region and are going through significant strategic growth.
As the Senior Project Manager, you will take control of one of their flagship development projects using your experience to manage all aspects of the assigned program to achieve the best outcome for the group and its partners. In addition to your high level of technical expertise, you will require strong autonomy and leadership skills as well as stakeholder management ability to achieve the desired outcomes, including managing and driving a highly important project program delivering civil infrastructure and land development for future industrial, commercial and retail built-form product.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead all aspects of the groups major development project in Western Sydney;
2. Ensuring compliance with HSE system. Ensure compliance with risk management procedures, and implementation of a Project Management Plan;
3. Managing and reporting on the financial performance of projects, budgets, tender evaluations, Revised Annual Forecasts, variations, cashflows, and forecasts;
4. Managing design and value management, including consultant engagement, design reviews, documentation approvals, and assisting in construction advice for new project bids;
5. Preparing and presenting reports on Monthly Project Development, project status to internal stakeholders, and project Lessons Learnt reviews;
6. Managing Customer contractual agreements, preparing and presenting reports to Customers, and building positive Customer relationships;
7. Managing Principal Contractors in liaison with the NSW General Manager, including tendering, contract awards, programme, dispute resolution, preparing scope of works, and variations;
8. Ensuring the implementation of, and compliance with, the Quality Management System, including defect rectification and post-completion issues;
9. Managing the design and tender phase programmes, updating programmes to stakeholders, and identifying risks and opportunities;
Requirements:
10. Degree qualified in Property, Construction, Finance, Engineering or equivalent field;
11. Strong track record in development, construction and projects with exposure to resource allocation, cost management and reporting;
12. Strong people skills and can manage ambiguity and constant changes effectively;
13. Exposure to compliance and safety knowledge;
14. Current working knowledge of the NSW planning environment;
15. Ability to manage multiple projects and clients and meet shifting priorities and deadlines;
16. Excellent written and oral presentation skills;
17. Intermediate to advanced level in core Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
