**About the Role**
The Parks and Gardens branch is responsible for the care, management and operation of public open space, foreshore reserves and recreational areas to enable active and passive recreation and the preservation of natural landscape and environment features.
As a Parks Worker/Operator you will carry out a key role plant operation activities in delivering and maintaining efficient and effective day-to-day operation of parks, natural areas, roadside vegetation and landscape improvement activities.
**About you**
As a Parks Worker/Operator you will be carrying out garden maintenance tasks such as planting, weeding, mulching, pruning of trees and shrubs, mowing, irrigation, turf management, removal and disposal of green waste and litter. You will assist and undertake landscape construction and horticultural maintenance, pest control and other general labouring activities.
As a requirement of this role, you will possess a Certificate II in Horticulture or have relevant experience.
You will have a 30215 QLD - General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) - Blue Card, and a current "C" class drivers license and LR licence.
