Role Overview*
Gympie Regional Council has a full-time fixed term opportunity through to December 2027. The Officer Grants Administration is to assist identification of potential funding sources, assistance for grant applications by both internal and external parties and the monitoring all operations of the accounts receivable process for both internal and external customers are actioned according to established work plans, Council's policies and the Local Government Act 2009.
Essential Knowledge & Skills:
* Demonstrated experience with computerised financial systems.
* Demonstrated computer literacy, in particular with Microsoft Excel and Word, demonstrated verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective and efficient customer service.
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously yet successfully work as part of an integrated team.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively to a time management plan to achieve work goals and meet deadlines.
* Queensland 'C' Class driver's licence that is current and maintained.
Essential Requirements:
* Liaise with Funding Bodies and applicable internal branches in relation to identification of funding opportunities for Council, increasing grant program awareness.
* Liaise with internal branches and funding bodies to ensure compliance with funding agreements and compliances with statutory reporting and lodgment of acquittals.
* Maintenance of register of current grant/subsidy agreements and preparation of monthly financial and risk status reports for current grants to the Leadership Team.
* Maintenance of policies and procedures that reflect current best practice for external grant funding.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer service and operating efficiency within the Council's financial systems.
* Any other duties as directed by the Team Coordinator.
