Macquarie Group is seeking a skilled Environments Support Engineer to join our Engineering Excellence team. We are dedicated to enabling engineering best practices with processes, tools, and technologies.
In this role, you will support teams by troubleshooting environment issues in consultation with engineers and according to applicable policies and guidelines. Our team focuses on improving engineering experiences and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor non-production environments for issues and proactively identify potential problems.
* Gather relevant information, logs, and metrics to understand the scope and impact of incidents.
* Prioritize incidents based on severity and impact on project timelines and testing activities.
* Troubleshoot environment-related issues and perform root cause analysis.
* Escalate issues to appropriate platform teams.
* Follow up with platform teams to track progress on resolutions and ensure timely completion.
* Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on open incidents and their resolution progress.
About You
* Excellent troubleshooting skills.
* Working knowledge of Java or Python.
* Linux fundamentals.
* Working knowledge of open-source technologies, and cloud services.
* Hands-on experience in implementing DevOps toolchains in SDLC.
* Usage of Kubernetes, Docker, and CICD tools.
* Usage of log management tools like Sumo logic, Dynatrace, or Splunk for triaging and troubleshooting environment issues.
