The **Manager, Cyber Security** is a newly created role responsible for leading the development, implementation and maintenance of the cyber and information security frameworks, policies, risks and guidelines, ensuring that NSW SES successfully manage their regulatory, compliance and legal obligations.
The role is responsible for operational management of security systems and services and will require a capable individual with strong collaboration skills and the ability to lead a small team.
**The key accountabilities for the role will include the following**:
- Manage and develop the existing team of three, provide vision and direction.
- Manage the cyber and information security technology solutions and prepare and scope business cases for proposed enhancements, fixes, maintenance, etc
- Implement, monitor and report on strategic and operational cyber security plans
- Lead cyber security solutions and business improvements initiatives in collaboration with the Projects team and other stakeholders
- Lead cyber security solutions following best practice and current frameworks.
This role will consult with the Senior Manager of Business Systems, Information and Communication Technology on strategic direction, priorities and work programs.
**Essential requirements will include the following**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry knowledge
- Demonstrable high level experience in delivering and or implementing cyber security solutions in a mid-sized organisation with a focus on BAU
- Thorough knowledge of AIIMS principles and processes or willingness to obtain competence in 12 months
**This role is a permanent position and would suit an individual with previous experience in cyber security operations and team leadership experience who wants to step into a management role.**
The position is a Clerk Grade 9/10 and therefore will pay a maximum TRP of $142,000 per annum, including 11% superannuation and plus leave loading.
The position is based in the **Wollongong **Headquarters for a minimum of 2 days per week, ideally more, and if selected, will be required you to undergo background checks.
