Funeral Services Coordinator
We are seeking an experienced Funeral Services Coordinator to support our funeral services team. This vital role is open to both full-time and part-time candidates.
The Funeral Services Coordinator will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and telephone enquiries, ensuring a welcoming and professional image. Duties include administrative support, receiving payments, identifying service requirements, and liaising with service providers.
* Experience in a customer-facing organisation
* Competent keyboard/computing and telephone operating skills
* Able to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
* Sensitive to grieving people and their values
* Interpersonal skills to work in a close team environment
About you:
* Be willing to undertake training and development programs
* Respond appropriately to client/family concerns
* Have a sense of ease working with grieving families
* Current status as Justice of the Peace or eligibility to become certified
* A current unrestricted driver's license
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide exceptional customer service to clients and families
* Manage funeral arrangements, including preparing and distributing paperwork
* Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
* Liaise with external service providers to ensure smooth operations
