Mackinnon Parade Children’s Centre (MPCC) is a community based, not for profit children's centre nestled in beautiful North Adelaide, providing high quality programs for children from birth to 5 years. The successful applicant will provide evidence of:
· Strong relationship and communication skills that demonstrate their experience in leading a community
· Examples of how they engage, consult with and develop staff in line with a strategic plan
· Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly, think strategically and use initiative
· Experience engaging and working with families, staff and Board members to build stronger partnerships and a shared vision.
The successful applicant will have:
· Minimum Diploma level qualification in children’s services
· Minimum of 2 years leading[LB1] [LT2] an education and care service
· Experience in managing a business including meeting legal requirements, managing finances and budgets
· An ability to lead, engage, consult with and support staff
· Strong knowledge of the ECEC Regulations and Law, National Quality Standards, and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
· Ability to adapt quickly, think strategically and use initiative
· Experience working with Stakeholders, including Board members
· Relevant working with children and police checks.
You will be pivotal in our strategic planning and influencing the direction of our programs and service. This role is positioned to not only manage the delivery of our services but to inspire, motivate, affirm, and constructively challenge and extend the practice and pedagogy of educators and staff.
You will be responsible for the wellbeing, care and education of all stakeholders, in particular; children, families, educators and the service community, and will use this to set a foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing. Please note that it is a requirement of this role that you will regularly spend time in contact with children attending the centre.
