Key Responsibilities and Skills
Clerks can expect to be involved in:
1. Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on legal issues, cases, and statutes to support ongoing matters and case preparation.
2. Drafting and Document Preparation: Prepare high-quality drafts of legal documents, including contracts, memos, briefs, and correspondence.
3. Case Law and Precedents: Analyze case law and legal precedents to inform arguments and strategies for current cases.
4. Client Interaction and Support: Participate in client meetings, draft client emails, and prepare for client presentations.
5. Document Review and Privilege: Review documents for relevance and privilege, often in the context of discovery in litigation.
6. Attend Court and Meetings: Observe court proceedings, mediations, depositions, and other legal meetings to gain practical insights.
7. Administrative Support: Assist with filing, organizing documents, and other administrative tasks as required.
