We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in Katherine, Northern Territory.
Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to deliver safe, high-quality clinical services, patient care, health promotion, and education in our Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working as part of the primary health care team, delivering holistic client-centered care and contributing to the management and prevention of poor health outcomes for our community.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering acute and general care, chronic disease management, Women's & Children's health, men's health, alcohol and other drugs, social and emotional wellbeing, and client support services.
* Working with a range of professionals including Registered Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, Allied Health Professionals.
* Triage, assess clients, provide care planning, perform health screening assessments, administer medication, provide immunizations, assist with GP procedures.
* Providing mentorship and clinical support training to other team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
* A Bachelor of Nursing degree
* Current AHPRA Registration
* Current Criminal History Check
* Working with Children Clearance
* A minimum of five (5) years' experience in clinical nursing practice
* Previous experience working in cross-cultural service environments, particularly in Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander healthcare.
