The Chief Technology Office (CTO) focuses on architecture services, such as domain architecture blueprints, technology strategy and architecture governance, required to meet our business aspirations both today and for the future.
Do work that matters
Reporting to the Chapter Lead Enterprise Architecture, you will design and define the architectural roadmaps for our Institutional Banking and Trade Finance functions to ensure they are aligned to Enterprise Architecture (EA).
Working in accordance with enterprise strategies centred on modernisation and embedding AI, you will be the Enterprise Architect subject matter expert in our Institutional Banking and Trade Finance domains. In this exciting role, you will analyse Institutional and Trade Finance client and customer requirements, and, propose target state solutions that benefit our customers and Commonwealth Bank as a whole.
In this role you will be integral to leading strategic initiatives. As part of this, you will assess and deconstruct legacy monolithic platforms and ecosystems, identifying tightly coupled components and roadblocks. Working closely with technologists and the business in these domains, you will define strategies for modularisation, domain-driven design and strategic benefit. And all this whilst ensuring compliance with security, performance and regulatory standards.
In this role you will:
* Lead the implementation of EA strategies and best practices to support Institutional Banking and Trade Finance business objectives, while focusing on capabilities, solutions, information gathering and technology utilisation.
* Assist in the embedding of AI in Institutional Banking and Trade Finance.
* Bar Raise solution architecture against Reference Architecture.
* Maintain relationships with Institutional Banking and Trade Finance key stakeholders, address their requirements and provide client consultations to shape the future success of EA.
* Provide EA support by directing teams in baseline, target and roadmap development, transition planning, system and security management and segment architecture.
We're interested in hearing from people who are:
* Experienced within the IT Industry, financial services or in business consulting
* Experts within Enterprise Architecture, specifically in Institutional Banking and Trade Finance Domains
* Experts in Enterprise Architecture for trading platforms - e.g. FX, derivatives, trade finance systems
* Confident in strategy development or have worked on strategy within consulting roles
* Proven in delivering major business solutions into production within multiple project teams
* Proficient in development and adoption of services-based business architectures
* Qualified in relevant industry frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, BIAN, ISO)
* Possess tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline
