CSIRO Agriculture and Food is offering Undergraduate Vacation Studentships for the Australian summer holidays. The program invites undergraduate students to collaborate with leading CSIRO researchers on real projects in science, technology, or related fields such as science communication.
Program Details
* Locations: Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Narrabri, Hobart, Toowoomba or other CSIRO sites (travel expenses covered if necessary).
* Stipend: $2,056.33 per fortnight.
* Duration: Up to 11 weeks, between 23 Nov 2026 and 5 Feb 2027.

Responsibilities
* Work on a real research project under CSIRO guidance.
* Participate in a structured program including workshops, discussion panels and presentation of project results at a final symposium.
* Collaborate with CSIRO researchers and stakeholders in the food and fibre value chain.
Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree at an Australian university.
* Have completed at least 2 years of full‐time equivalent undergraduate coursework before commencement.
* Strong academic record (credit average or higher) and/or demonstrated capability in the field.
* Interest in pursuing a research career in science or technology or a related discipline.
* Ability to undertake a full‐time placement for 8–12 weeks over the university summer vacation period.
