About the company and role:
Well‐known food manufacturing companies located in various area of WA are currently undergoing substantial growth. We are currently seeking Microbiologists of varying levels of experience who are looking for a foot in the door into such companies. Both full‐time permanent and contract positions (including part‐time opportunities) are available, as well as opportunities for day, afternoon or night shifts.
If you are a recent Microbiology Graduate, we encourage you to apply as training will be provided.
General duties may include, but are not limited to:
* Sample receipt and data entry
* Performing environmental swabbing and sampling of site water
* Performing plating techniques, microbial plate reading and microbial identification
* Entering results in a Laboratory Information Management System
* Assisting with preparation, review and update of Standard Operation Procedures and Procedures for testing
* Participating in investigation of out of specification results as required
* Ensuring equipment and facilities are maintained / prepared in accordance with approved procedures
About you:
* Completed or be studying a Bachelor of Science (Microbiology) or a related discipline
* Strong work ethic
* Quality focused individual with excellent attention to detail
* Good communication skills
* Work experience from a fast‐paced environment
In addition to this you will have excellent communication and time management skills.
