We work to build stronger communities, deliver critical programs and services, and raise funds to provide these services. This is an important role in ensuring that Red Cross can build connected, sharing, and resilient communities.The opportunityCommunity Mobilisation Volunteers play a pivotal role in the Australian Red Cross. The Community Mobilisation Team works directly with the community to recruit new volunteers and members, and recognise and reward our existing volunteers and members.To make sure we are always reaching the community, our volunteers, and our members where they are, this is a varied role that could include:Hand delivering community newsletters and flyers to letterboxesTalking with members of the community about Red Cross and the work we doCalling and interviewing potential volunteersRecognising the valued contributions members and volunteers by providing service milestones and organising thank-you eventsHelping to organise and facilitate community events like BBQs and community forumsHelping to provide a welcoming space for members of the community to share their time, resources, and passions with usWe will work with you to find a way for you to make a difference in your community.
