Role Overview:
As our Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of building, plant machinery and equipment. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of maintenance activities, from routine inspections and troubleshooting to preventive maintenance and repairs. You will also be involved in maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to safety protocols and collaborating across the teams to minimize production disruptions. You'll work closely with a supportive team and lead exciting projects that shape the future of our industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery, equipment and building facilities to ensure efficient, optimal and safe operating conditions.
* Perform corrective maintenance works, servicing, trouble shooting of all machines, equipment, building and facilities
* Identify, modify and upgrade unsafe condition of machines, equipment, building, and its facilities
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including work performed, parts used and equipment status.
* Work collaboratively to suggest and implement improvements to maintenance processes and equipment performance.
* Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery, where applicable.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on business objectives and project deliverables.
* Stay updated on technical knowledge and industry trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
What We're Looking For:
* At least a TAFE qualification or demonstrated equivalent work experience and a passion to work within a manufacturing environment.
* Has the mechanical aptitude and enjoys working with your hands.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for building and nurturing client relationships.
* A strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
* Excellent organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.
* A proactive and motivated approach, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
* A passion for achieving outstanding results.
* Mentally & physically fit to carry out difficult tasks such as repair of industrial machines and equipment.
* Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to machinery and industrial conditions.
* Capable of working extended hours as needed.
