Known for their strategic thinking, commercial insight, and collaborative culture, this firm is seeking an experienced Associate Town Planner to join their growing Melbourne team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a planning professional with a strong statutory background who is ready to step into a leadership role within a high-performing, close-knit team.
About the Role
As an Associate Planner, you will play a key role in delivering complex statutory planning projects, providing expert advice to clients, and contributing to the growth and direction of the business. You'll work across a diverse portfolio of urban development projects, with the autonomy to lead, influence, and drive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and deliver statutory planning projects across metropolitan Melbourne
* Provide high-level planning advice to private and public sector clients
* Prepare and review planning reports, permit applications, and submissions
* Liaise with councils, authorities, and stakeholders to navigate approvals
* Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
* Support business development and client relationship management
About You
* 5-10 years' experience in statutory or urban planning, ideally within consulting
* Strong understanding of Victorian planning legislation and processes
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Commercially minded with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
* Comfortable working in a small, agile team environment
* Passionate about shaping cities and delivering high-quality planning outcomes
