Job Title: Vocational Training Coordinator
This is a critical role in providing job creation and employment opportunities for vulnerable young people through the facilitation of vocational and education training.
* The ideal candidate will have significant experience in working with at-risk youth in a VET environment, as well as up-to-date knowledge of the labour market, employability skills, and job creation strategies.
The Pathways Lead works closely with the Pathways Coordinator to ensure the delivery of high-quality vocational education and training programs to our students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinating the development and implementation of training and employment pathways that lead students into school-based traineeships/apprenticeships (SBATs) and employment.
* Building external partnerships with local employers to support VET in School (VETis) Programs, SBATs, and part-time/casual employment.
* Facilitating the retention of training and employment partnerships that benefit quality outcomes for students and program participants.
* Assisting in the delivery of wellbeing and enrichment programs.
* Creating, implementing, and evaluating a process to select students to participate in VETis and nationally accredited certificate programs.
Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or similar qualification.
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain them.
* Positive Notice Blue Card or willingness to obtain one.
* Demonstrated ability in creating comprehensive industry-specific programs that provide participants with hands-on experiences and opportunities to link with genuine employment opportunities.
