Opportunities for experienced Mental Health practitioners with a history of providing services to children and young people with serious emotional and behavioural difficulties.
As a Senior Specialist Mental Health Worker (P3) you are responsible for the delivery of a high-quality mental health service to children with serious emotional and behavioural difficulties, including mental health assessment and evidence‐based therapeutic interventions.
Your key duties include managing a caseload of children and young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties, comprehensive mental health assessments, in addition to a strong focus on working with families and therapeutic intervention. You will participate in the development of contemporary models of care, including new service models in response to NT Health and National mental health reforms, contribute to research and undertake quality evaluation at program or professional network level.
Ideally, you will be an accomplished MH Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist with registration to practice with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or be eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Demonstrated recent clinical experience in mental health assessment, treatment and rehabilitation methods appropriate for children and young people is essential.
