Job Description:
We are currently seeking multiple Aged or Disabled Carers to join our team in Manunda, Cairns City, QLD. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing personal care and support to our clients in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with daily tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding, as needed
- Administering medications according to prescribed schedules
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assisting with light housekeeping and errands
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in clients' health or behaviour
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement care plans
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of care provided
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar position is a must
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability Care, or Individual Support
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding attitude towards seniors and individuals with disabilities
- Ability to pass a national police check and provide references from previous employers.
Contract Details:
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Superannuation will also be provided. The successful candidates will be required to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of our clients.
