We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Shop Manager to lead our retail operations and deliver outstanding customer experiences across all channels.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the Retail Shop Manager is responsible for the smooth day‐to‐day running of the store, leading a team of retail staff and ensuring exceptional service, strong sales performance and operational excellence. This role plays a key part in upholding Mont's reputation for product knowledge, customer care and quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver outstanding customer service in‐store, by phone and via email
* Lead, supervise and develop the retail team, including recruitment, onboarding and training
* Manage staff rostering, including major sales events (Factory Sale, Black Friday, Cyber Monday)
* Maintain high standards of shop presentation, pricing and cleanliness
* Oversee stock ordering, range specialisation and inventory optimisation
* Manage returns, warranty processes, loyalty and discount programs
* Ensure compliance with store policies, retail legislation and WHS requirements
* Handle cash management, POS balancing and banking duties
* Contribute to the development and implementation of store policies
* Support sales targets and performance during peak trading periods
About You
You are a customer‐focused retail leader who thrives in a hands‐on environment and enjoys developing others.
You will bring:
* Demonstrated success in retail supervision or management
* Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
* Experience leading, training and engaging retail teams
* Excellent organisational and rostering skills
* Familiarity with POS/ERP systems as well as Microsoft Office applications
* Confidence managing loyalty, discount and relationship programs
* Analytical capability to review product, sales and inventory performance
* Sound understanding of retail legislation, security and workplace health and safety
