As Wenco continues to build our next generation of technology, we need a wide range of professionals to help us achieve our objectives. Our rapid growth means we are currently looking for a full-time Operations Hardware Technician to join our office in Brisbane, Australia.
The primary focus of the Operations Hardware Technician is to support the Operation Manager - Hardware in the smooth and efficient running of the Workshop. The Workshop primary focus is end to end service of the customer Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) process, technical build and configuration for new system sales, where required, supporting product delivery team meet global delivery schedules and act a technical liaison between Operations and other departments.
**Your Key Deliverables and Responsibilities**:
- Perform successful repetitive preparation work on a large range of hardware and cabling
- Prepare and configure networking equipment
- Test, troubleshoot and repair company equipment both remotely for on-site client services and in-house
- Document preparation procedures and any configuration requirements
- Review and contribute to process improvements
**Your Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Knowledge of GPS/GNSS systems
- Knowledge of Windows OS computers (Win7, and Win10 IoT operating systems)
- Solid understanding of networking and radio technologies is an asset
- Knowledge of electronic fault finding
- 3+ years of experience in hardware or relevant role
- Diploma in radio or electronics or extensive practical experience to an equivalent level, preferably in mining or industrial instrumentation
