An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and adaptable professional to fill the fulltime role of Warehouse Leading Hand at our Armidale Warehouse.
About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager the successful applicant will be required to manage a team of people to ensure the replenishment of goods carried out efficiently, picking of goods and the loading of trucks is conducted accurately, product integrity is maintained and department KPI's are met.
Duties
* Ensure all equipment is serviced and maintained in a safe working condition and arrange maintenance as required
* Monitor staff performance to expectations of job function, counselling and disciplining when necessary
* Act accordingly to reduce warehouse expenses through minimising damages, wastage and overtime
* Allocate and monitor work of replenishment, assembly and cleaning staff
Skills and Experience
* A current MR truck licence and forklift licence (essential)
* Proven experience in warehousing, distribution and logistics management
* Exceptional time management and communication skills
* Experience managing rosters and resources within budget constraints
* Skilled in inventory control
* An understanding of HACCP, WHS and HR
* Proven ability to manage an existing team while implementing changes
