Glenmore State High School is seeking a motivated and dynamic Head of Department - English to drive excellence within their English Department.
You will be a skilled instructional leader with strong organisational skills and subject expertise. You will lead a collaborative team to shape an engaging curriculum, with a focus on quality teaching and learning for improved student achievement.
This is a temporary full-time position until 12 December 2025, with the possibility of extension.

About The Role
As the Head of Department - English, you will be responsible for leading activities and delivering the following key tasks:
* Lead curriculum development and the school department with a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
* Set high standards for student and staff performance.
* Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
* Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.
* Be future-oriented and strategic.
* Understand legislation and policies impacting the department, students, and staff.
