About the role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Representative to join our Melbourne team. This junior role is responsible for liaising with existing and potential customers in relation to ingredient and equipment sales, including answering all customer queries, performing demonstrations and finalising ingredient and equipment sales deals.
Skills and experience
The Key responsibilities of this role include:
DRIVING SALES DUTIES
- Assist to direct and control sales strategies and activities to achieve revenue and company growth in accordance with the company’s overarching business plans;
- Responsible for the assistance of development and performance of sales activities within the designated region and/or territory;
- Assist with the development of recent business opportunities through sales and marketing initiatives;
- Achieve sales budget by following and complying with formulated sales strategies and managing customer pricing in accordance with stipulated guidelines;
- Maintain and develop recent and existing customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods in an effort to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction;
- Support and engage in all marketing activities, including but not limited to product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and trade shows;
- Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries in a timely manner.
FINALISING SALES DUTIES
- Prepare quotes for customer consideration, in accordance with designated budgets and sales targets and/or quotas;
- Prepare invoices for customer consideration, in accordance with designated budgets and sales targets and/or quotas;
- Follow up with existing and potential customers to ensure all of the ingredient needs are satisfied at all times;
- Visit key customers to maintain relationships and encourage future sales.
GENERAL SALES DUTIES
- Conduct ingredient demonstrations in house or on site for the customers;
- Monitor and evaluate all customer purchases;
- Obtain customer feedback regarding current products on trial and report feedback and relevant information to the management team;
- Use the company’s online sales database to record quotes, invoices and leads;
- Monitor and report on market and/or competitor activities and provide relevant information, feedback and recommendations to the management team;
To be successful in the role you must have:
- Successful completion of Year 10 High School;
- Valid Driver’s Licence issued by a State or Territory in Australia;
- Previous experience is preferred but no experience will still be considered;
- Passionate and enthusiastic about ingredients and gelato;
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Ability to manage priorities and to meet deadlines;
- Ability to work well under pressure and be self-motivated to achieve goals and targets;
- Ability to work unsupervised as well as collaborate as part of a team;
- Ability to engender enthusiasm and professionalism onto others;
