My client is seeking a Claims Domain/Application Architect at a junior-to-mid level to join a growing insurance technology team. This role focuses on supporting and contributing to the architecture of the Claims domain, working closely with senior architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders. You will help design and implement scalable, secure, and cloud-first solutions across claims platforms, gaining hands-on experience in Azure and modern insurance systems. Key Responsibilities Support the application and domain architecture for claims and insurance-related systems. Assist senior architects in designing end-to-end solution architectures aligned to business strategy and enterprise standards. Translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability. Collaborate with engineering teams to provide guidance on integrations, APIs, data flows, and cloud implementation. Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, and architecture governance. Contribute to technical documentation, solution diagrams, and best-practice standards. Stay current with Azure services, cloud patterns, and emerging technology relevant to claims systems. Mentor junior developers or team members where needed. Skills & Experience Essential 2–5 years of experience in solution design, application architecture, or software engineering. Hands-on experience designing solutions on Microsoft Azure (PaaS / IaaS / SaaS). Exposure to insurance claims systems or other core insurance platforms. Understanding of application design patterns, microservices, and integration architecture. Familiarity with APIs, messaging, or event-driven architectures. Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders. Desirable Exposure to Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar insurance platforms. Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code. Knowledge of data architecture and reporting platforms. Interest in growing into a senior or domain-ownership architect role.
