Business Analyst (Risk / GRC Focus) – Contract Role
We're partnering with a leading financial services organisation undergoing a significant transformation program and are seeking a Business Analyst with a risk and governance mindset. This role will suit someone who can translate complex change into clear requirements, support solution design, and ensure risk and control considerations are embedded from day one.
What you'll be doing
* Lead requirements elicitation across business and technology stakeholders within a transformation environment
* Produce high-quality BA artefacts (e.g. business requirements, user stories, process maps, traceability)
* Contribute to business solution design, ensuring alignment to risk, policy, and control obligations
* Support reconciliation design and analysis (where applicable to business processes / data movement)
* Partner with Risk / Compliance / Governance teams to uplift GRC outcomes and strengthen controls
* Assist with UAT planning/support, defect triage, and change impact assessment
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex delivery environments (ideally financial services)
* Demonstrated exposure to risk, controls, governance and/or GRC considerations in BA work
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills—able to facilitate workshops and influence outcomes
* Solid documentation skills and the ability to simplify ambiguity into actionable requirements
* Experience with Agile delivery (user stories, backlog refinement) and/or hybrid delivery models
Nice to have
* Experience with reconciliation processes (operational, finance, data/platform reconciliation)
* Familiarity with risk frameworks, audit readiness, control mapping, or regulatory change impact
