What you'll do:
* Operate and manage various types of bakery ovens (e.g., deck ovens, rotating rack ovens).
* Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality, color, and texture.
* Load and unload ovens efficiently and safely.
* Work with a variety of doughs, understanding their unique baking requirements.
* Maintain a clean and organized workstation and ensure all equipment is properly cared for.
* Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with the baking team to ensure smooth production flow.
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience as a baker or a similar role in a commercial bakery setting.
* Strong understanding of baking principles, including fermentation, proofing, and dough handling.
* Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy bags of ingredients, and work in a warm environment.
