Farmer Overseer Position
We are seeking a skilled farmer to join our team as an overseer at Strathavon Farming.
About the Role
* The successful candidate will be responsible for tractor driving, spraying with self-propelled sprayers, maintaining and servicing machinery, harvesting using Case IH headers, and performing general everyday farming duties.
This is a full-time position requiring a commitment of five days per week. However, during busy periods such as harvest and sowing seasons, the employee may be required to work seven days a week.
Key Qualifications
* Prior broadacre farming experience
* Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
* Proficiency in using all farm machinery, including tractors, headers, sprayers, and trucks
* Flexible and adaptable to changing duties
* Current driver's licence
* MC truck licence would be highly regarded
* Current Chemcert
* Strong mechanical aptitude & experience with GPS technology is essential
