**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**Summary of the role**:
- This part-time fixed-term position is located at the Mercy Hospital for Women, Social Work Department
- This position encompasses a clinical caseload across the maternity and nursery streams (which may include inpatients, outpatients and Emergency Department), clinical supervision of Grade 1 Social Workers and Social Work students as well as some programmatic responsibilities delegated by the Manager
- This position will form part of an integral multi-disciplinary team and will be required to provide highly responsive and flexible services to consumers whilst upholding a high level of professionalism and practising the core values of Mercy Health
- This role will encourage a best practise philosophy amongst staff and will be expected to demonstrate an advanced skill set
**ABOUT YOU**:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work with a minimum of 2 years' experience and eligibility for membership to the AASW
- Sound knowledge of current evidence based practices and commitment to continuing professional development and research
- Prior hospital experience and/or working in women and children's services is highly desirable
- Adaptive, creative with a passion for patient focussed care

- Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
