**APS5 - Collection Branch**:

The Library is seeking to fill ongoing and non-ongoing APS5 vacancies in Collection Branch. One ongoing vacancy is in the Collect & Acquire Section - which will be filled immediately. This process will also establish a merit pool which may be used to fill similar ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies during the subsequent 18-month period from the date of advertising. Work in Collection Branch is interesting and diverse, and we are seeking energetic, flexible, and reliable people with an interest in working with heritage collections to join the team at the National Library of Australia.
Someone undertaking an APS5 role in the Collection Branch will:
- Undertake work that is moderately complex to complex in nature and be able to work under limited direction;
- Provide expertise that contributes to the outcomes of the team, section and Branch, and is accountable for tasks and decisions;
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, responding to needs and expectations; and
To be successful in these roles, it is desirable if you have the following:
- Qualifications or equivalent experience in Arts, Humanities or Social Sciences or related fields; and/or
- Qualifications in Library and Information Management, Archives, or Law; and/or
- Experience of rights management in a cultural heritage collecting institution; and/or
- Experience with descriptive metadata standards; and/or
- Qualifications or equivalent experience in Project/Program Management; and/or
