This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior clinician who enjoys autonomy, leadership, and delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to clients with diverse and complex needs within a fee-for-service environment, including NDIS participants and private referrals. About the Role As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will deliver advanced, evidence-based occupational therapy services while providing discipline leadership, supervision, and mentoring to early-career clinicians and students. Working closely with the Service Manager – Community Allied Health, you will contribute to service development, quality improvement, and sustainable service delivery across the region. This role suits a clinician who is confident managing complexity, enjoys working in a multidisciplinary setting, and is motivated to make a meaningful impact in a regional community. Key Responsibilities Advanced Clinical Practice Deliver high-level occupational therapy assessment, intervention, and evaluation across a mixed caseload Support NDIS participants (Improved Daily Living, Assistive Technology, Home Modifications), private clients, and community referrals Conduct functional capacity assessments, AT prescriptions, home safety assessments, and person-centred intervention planning Manage complex presentations with advanced clinical reasoning and independent decision-making Prepare high-quality clinical documentation, progress reports, and NDIS review reports in line with best practice and compliance standards Leadership, Supervision & Mentorship Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and professional development for Occupational Therapists and students Lead case reviews, reflective practice sessions, and discipline-specific learning activities Promote evidence-based practice, professional standards, and safe clinical care Service Delivery & Community Engagement Support productivity, scheduling, and caseload management within a fee-for-service model Build strong relationships with clients, families, support coordinators, plan managers, and community stakeholders Provide specialist consultancy and represent Occupational Therapy at meetings and regional networks Contribute to service planning, pathways, and growth across the Great Southern region Governance & Quality Participate in clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives Contribute to service innovation and program development aligned with community needs Maintain awareness of contemporary research, standards, and NDIS requirements About You You are an experienced Occupational Therapist with strong clinical expertise, leadership capability, and a passion for community-based practice. Essential Criteria Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) Current AHPRA registration Significant experience delivering services under the NDIS Advanced skills in functional assessments, AT prescription, and report writing Demonstrated ability to manage a mixed caseload in a fee-for-service environment Experience supervising, mentoring, and developing clinicians and students Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and clinical documentation skills Ability to work autonomously in a regional setting Desirable Postgraduate qualification and/or advanced practice specialisation Requirements Working With Children Check (as required) Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the Great Southern region National Police Clearance (within 6 months) Why Apply?
