Job Description
Koffeetaria & Co Pty Ltd, trading as Forktales Tapas and Grill, is seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast‐paced, creative environment and takes pride in delivering high‐quality dishes that bring people together.
Task & Responsibilities
* Examine foodstuff to ensure quality, freshness, and consistency.
* Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with our menu and standards.
* Season food appropriately during preparation and cooking.
* Portion and plate dishes with attention to presentation, including sauces and garnishes.
* Store food in temperature‐controlled facilities in accordance with food safety standards.
* Prepare meals to meet special requirements where required.
* Assist with menu planning and estimating food requirements.
* Support the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery.
* Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment (fusion or modern cuisine highly regarded).
* Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques.
* Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
* Excellent communication and time‐management skills.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
