Project Manager – Research Program (Contract)
Location: Sydney, NSW- Hybrid working Arrangements
Contract Duration: 6–9 months (with high likelihood of extension)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Project Manager to support a multi-stream research program running through to mid-2027. This role is critical in maintaining momentum across several research initiatives, particularly in light of recent team changes. You will be embedded within research streams and work closely with subject matter experts to ensure successful delivery of projects related to:
* Ethics modules
* Research outputs and profiles
* Grants and contracts
* Biosafety and ethics
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day project and program management activities across multiple research streams
* Manage scope, budgets, timelines, and resources across concurrent projects
* Identify and address resource gaps, ensuring continuity and progress
* Engage pragmatically with diverse stakeholders including researchers, administrators, and external partners
* Coordinate with subject matter experts to align project delivery with academic and regulatory requirements
* Monitor risks and implement mitigation strategies
* Prepare reports, dashboards, and updates for internal and external stakeholders
About You
* Proven experience in technical project management, ideally across complex or multi-stakeholder environments
* Strong skills in project tracking, reporting, and lifecycle management
* Highly adaptable and quick to learn new domains
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience in university or research settings is a strong advantage but not essential
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
