This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.Purpose of the RolePurpose of the Role: To provide accurate and timely HR advice and support to managers and employees in the delivery of organizational strategic objectives.QualificationsTertiary Qualifications in Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, Organisational Psychology, or relevant field – preferredWhite CardExperienceMinimum 2 years' experience in a similar role – preferably in the construction industryKnowledge, and experience in the application of HR/IR systems and processesProject Management experience – ability to plan, implement & manage longer term initiativesRequired CompetenciesKnowledge of the Fair Work ActSound negotiation and problem-solving skillsStrong Initiative and proactive natureKey collaborative skillsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsWell-developed time management skillsHigh attention to detailExceptional knowledge and ability in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointCore Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesAssist in implementing the project's information systems to support HR functions (and provide support and training for users as required)Assist managers in handling underperformance or misconduct issues in line with regulatory/legal parameters and project guidelinesEnsure monthly maintenance of project organisation charts with support from the HR administratorsCollate data for, and generate reports as required (weekly and monthly)Assist the team with implementing the project culture frameworkEngage and support managers in the development of HR initiatives which reinforce the desired values, culture and outcomes for the businessSupport managers in the development and implementation of position descriptions for all team membersSupport managers in implementation of performance development and performance review process to ensure they establish individual and team role clarity and a culture of accountability to improve business outcomesDelivering training to management and other personnel on HR topics.
Develop and implement policies and procedures across the project workforceGenerating employment contracts and internal employee correspondence as requiredIdentify emerging issues in a workplace and assist in developing strategies to mitigate risksAbility to liaise with all levels of a typical workforce and comfortable to interact with a range of issuesDevelop relationships with Project leaders and relevant external stakeholdersEnsure compliance and support personnel and management on counselling/discipline, conflict resolution, probation, return to work and performance evaluations, including conducting investigations when requiredThe above listed authorities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.As an employee you will be eligible to participate in a number of additional employee benefits.
