You're an experienced HR professional and trusted advisor who thrives on empowering people and building strong organisational culture. You bring both strategic insight and hands-on capability, with a collaborative and culturally aware approach.
About the Role
The People and Culture Manager plays a key role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture. Working closely with the CEO, leadership team, and Board, you'll lead the design and delivery of people strategies that align with our organisational goals and community values.
You'll oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance development, wellbeing, and workforce capability, ensuring our HR practices remain compliant, contemporary, and culturally respectful.
This role also serves as Company Secretary, providing vital support to the CEO and Board by ensuring good governance, compliance under the CATSI Act, and smooth coordination of Board and AGM processes.

Selection Criteria – Essential
Qualifications and experience in Human Resources or a related field, with strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act and employment legislation.
Experience working respectfully with Aboriginal people and demonstrating cultural awareness.
Proven leadership in HR or People & Culture, including mentoring and developing staff.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple priorities.
High integrity, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality and governance.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
Desirable
Experience supporting corporate governance and Board/AGM processes (CATSI Act and ORIC).
Experience using Employment Hero or similar HR systems.
Background in community housing, not-for-profit, or Aboriginal community-controlled organisations.
