The Regional Sales Manager position is a vital leadership role that reports directly to the Sales Director and plays a key part in the team responsible for the Northern Region. This position requires strong leadership abilities, as it involves overseeing the activities of Area Sales Managers and providing guidance, support, and line management to all relevant team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing the activities of Area Sales Managers against strategic objectives and commercial parameters.
* Delivering agreed turnover targets for the region through proactive sales strategies.
* Providing regular and detailed feedback to the sales team to ensure successful delivery of targets.
* Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key customer personnel to discuss and implement local trading agreements.
* Management of Regional Expenditure budget and updating required records.
* Attending and supporting customer events and meetings across the region.
* Dealing with performance/absence/people management issues for the team.
Requirements
* Good understanding of industry trading philosophy and ability to relate to this way of working.
* Excellent people management skills, leading by example, and experience in following HR policies and processes.
* Flexible approach and ability to work away from home on a regular basis.
