About the role
Mater Hospital Brisbane Emergency Department is seeking experienced Clinical Nurses to join the team. We have multiple permanent full-time positions available.
The department offers a 24-hour comprehensive emergency service for adult patients, staffed by experienced emergency doctors, nurses, training registrars, and house officers. It provides care to adolescents and adults with a full range of acute illnesses and injuries.
Salary range: $54.45 - $58.30 per hour plus 12% superannuation.
What you'll be doing
Our Clinical Nurses provide leadership and advanced clinical skills to our Nursing Team, mentoring and guiding less-experienced nurses, supporting the Nurse Manager in activities to sustain the Clinical Stream, and aiding skill development.
You will be responsible for:
* Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care.
* Demonstrating advanced clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and patient management.
* Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in implementing strategies for quality and risk management.
* Maintaining current knowledge and skills for professional growth.
About you

To be successful, you will have:
* Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions).
* At least 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in Emergency.
* Completed the ETEK (Triage course) and be triage competent.
* Completed or be completing a Post Graduate Certificate (or equivalent) in Emergency Nursing.
* A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to role model and promote Mater's values.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
* Ability to operate independently and in a team, with sound reasoning, initiative, and decision-making skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* A commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
