Job Title: Demand Planner
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Demand Planner to join our team at Gem. As a Demand Planner, you will play a critical role in forecasting and managing demand for our products across various sales channels.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market trends, consumer behaviors, competitor activity, and business inputs.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Category, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance teams to understand business needs, product launches, promotions, and other events impacting demand.
* Prepare key performance indicator (KPI) reports and analysis on forecast accuracy and demand trends to support the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle.
* Lead monthly forecast alignment discussions to achieve consensus on demand forecasts and inventory strategies for existing products, new ranges, and product phase-outs.
* Track forecast accuracy and provide insights for continuous improvement.
* Support inventory planning and stock optimization to minimize stock-outs or excess inventory and propose contingency plans to address demand variability.
* Identify and communicate potential risks in demand planning and recommend proactive measures to mitigate these risks.
* Create and manage OTB documentation, including monthly purchasing proposals, stock ins/outs, and closing stock balances.
* Collaborate with Category to manage raw material, componentry, and finished goods demand and availability.
* Develop and maintain production plans based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity.
Key Outcomes:
* A demand forecast that incorporates current and accurate market information, allowing Gem to predict customer demand and plan accordingly.
* Effective knowledge sharing and an optimal consensus forecast to guide decision-making.
* Refined systems and methods to improve forecasts and anticipate customer needs.
* Contribution to the development of a vision for the Supply Chain Division aligned with the Gem Strategy.
* Fostering a workplace culture consistent with Gem's organisational values.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or relevant field.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in Demand/Supply Planning.
* Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
* Strong analytical and statistical knowledge, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Tableau knowledge a plus).
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
