About us:

The Central Queensland Highlands Visitor Information Centre (CQH VIC) is open daily and provides travel advice, bookings, itineraries, brochures and WiFi free of charge to the public. It also sells maps, souvenirs and light refreshments.

The centre, located in a shady spot at Emerald's popular Morton Park, is an attraction itself because of its strawbale walls and sculpture made from recycled farm equipment.

Opening hours are extended during the tourism season (Easter to October). The VIC is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday; open half-days on Anzac Day.

The VIC is managed by the not-for-profit Central Highlands Development Corporation (CHDC) and is accredited with Tourism and Events Queensland for achieving quality standards.
