About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Panel Beater to join either the AMA Group Solutions or Capital S.M.A.R.T Repairs team. The role involves undertaking quality workmanship to return vehicles to their pre-accident condition. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
* Check received parts are correct and for defects
* Disassemble vehicle as per Job Sheet
* Label and store parts
* Notate broken parts and extra repairs and submit to Estimator as requested
* Check new parts are correct and not damaged and communicate defects to Parts Manager/Production Manager
* Colour mix and match vehicle after preparation and scheduling for painting
* Build and maintain colour library
* Prep, prime and paint vehicle as per Job Sheet requirements following paint supplier's process
* Buff and denib vehicle
* Repair vehicle as per the Repair Method, OEM standards and in accordance with Estimate and Job Sheet
* Reassemble vehicle
* Handle all vehicles with due care and attention
* Clean workbay and workshop areas
* Coach apprentices when required
* Handle all company tools and equipment with due care and attention to ensure they remain safe, clean and in a workable condition
* Adhere to OH&S policy including PPE

* Trade qualified Panel Beater
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Strong commitment to work in a safe manner
* Excellent communication skills

* Able to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
* Ability to meet strict deadlines
* Be reliable, punctual & hardworking
* Own tools to fulfill the role

* Mid-Senior tradesperson $80k-$100k
* Annual salary and the opportunity to earn a production bonus
Requirements to join
* AQF Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent or relevant experience
* Minimum 4 years experience
